Weidler lands deal with Battle Born Batteries

Bill Weidler, who will be a rookie this year on the Bassmaster Elite Series, has partnered with Battle Born Batteries on a title sponsorship deal for 2018.

Based in Reno, Nev., Battle Born launched in 2014 and specializes in Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, which will provide power on Weidler’s boat while he’s on the water.

“I wanted to have a title sponsor that I felt I could promote their product,” Weidler said. “Being that lithium batteries are the new up-and-coming thing and with my style of fishing – covering a lot of water – it was a good fit.”

Weidler said the lighter and longer-lasting lithium batteries will give him peace of mind during the season.

“Last year, I had two days at Chickamauga where my batteries went dead by noon,” he said. “I wanted to go into the Elite Series season with something that would stand the test of time and get the job done.”

Sean Nichols, a co-founder and chief operating officer of Battle Born, is excited for the exposure Battle Born will receive during Weidler’s rookie season.

“Bill is an awesome guy and we’re proud to have him on our team,” Nichols said. “With his passion about bass fishing, how could we not want to partner with someone like that? It’s a win-win for both sides. We’re excited about it and it’s a good opportunity to work in an industry we like being a part of.”
