Fans flocked to Green Pond Landing in Anderson, S.C., on the shores of Lake Hartwell on Friday morning to witness the start of the 2018 Bassmaster Classic.

One noticeable difference between this day 1 and the day 1 from the 2015 Classic was the weather. It was breezy before daybreak and the flags at Green Pond Landing were still straight out at 9 a.m.

The mood was charged and the competitors were anxious and excited to get started.
