Only a handful of the 2018 Bassmaster Elite Series pros who received invitations to compete on the Bass Pro Tour opted to stay with B.A.S.S., whereas more than five dozen bolted for the new circuit. Joe Balog understands why many top anglers departed, but was surprised that the financial incentives offered by B.A.S.S. for 2019 didn't entice more of the sport's younger stars to remain.
